Plain-English summary of the working basis for dkww engagements. The binding version is whatever is signed inside the engagement letter for a specific piece of work.
Each engagement is governed by a short, named engagement letter agreed before work begins. The letter sets out scope, deliverables, fee, payment terms and notice. These site-wide terms sit underneath that letter as a default.
Fees are quoted in GBP and either fixed-fee or day-rate as set out in the engagement letter. Invoices are payable within 14 days unless otherwise agreed.
Anything you share with me about your business stays with me unless you give explicit permission to share it (e.g. as a case study). I'm happy to sign your NDA if you have one; I'll provide a short mutual NDA if you don't.
You own the deliverables I produce for you. I retain rights to the underlying methods, frameworks and any pre-existing tooling I bring in.
I use AI tooling as part of delivery, on proprietary platforms configured so your data is not used to train models. The engagement letter names the tools.
Liability is capped at the fees paid for the engagement in question. I carry appropriate professional indemnity insurance.
Either side may end an engagement on 30 days' notice unless the engagement letter says otherwise. Fees due up to the notice date are payable.
